While at anchor in Lane Cove, a most secure anchorage, it started raining..........

DSC06125
The weather radar indicated that a pretty good storm was headed our way. All was secure. We were anchored in one of the best places to ride out any storm.

DSC06131

DSC06132
We were surprised by incredible amount of hail. Very strong winds and pelting rains. The hail piled up in the scuppers like snow.

DSC06140
It went on and on and on..........15 minutes of hail is a lot of hail. The water around us looked like fish were jumping out of the water every time a hail stone hit the surface. I took a video that I will add on later.....

DSC06144
All in all the winds were 40 knot plus and quarter sized hail. All in all, in a half hour of rain we got 2 inches...

DSC06150

DSC06154
Soon, things were calm and peaceful once again. A light ground fog formed probably from the addition of all that cold hail.

DSC06171
The sun came out and set and life was once again good. The piles of hail remained on the deck till morning....
